Florida Health Care Association invites skilled nursing and assisted living facility providers to participate in a webinar with Agency for Health Care Administration Secretary Simone Marstiller and her leadership team and Florida Division of Emergency Management Chief Medical Officer Ken Scheppke, MD, FAEMS; along with a representative from the long term care sector for an informational webinar about the use of monoclonal antibody treatments and its effectiveness against COVID-19, including the Delta variant. Learn more about the state’s plan to support long term care facilities with administering this treatment to residents and the benefits of these therapeutics for all individuals who contract the virus. Attendees will also hear perspectives from a Nursing Home Administrator whose care center is using this treatment to help residents and staff safely recover from COVID-19.

Monoclonal antibody treatments can be prescribed by health care providers to individuals 12 years of age and older who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and are at high risk for severe illness and hospitalization. The antibodies help the immune system recognize and respond effectively to the virus. For more information, visit the FHCA COVID-19 web page.
