What are “high-stress events” and how do they affect our ability to communicate?

Avoiding some common pitfalls of communicating through voice and text during high-stress events.

Developing skills to communicate more effectively with your team, your colleagues, other responders, and the public.

Speaker: Alex Rohlwing MA, EMT-P

Alex is a specialist in managing conflict in disaster contexts, specifically communication and coordination between responders from different backgrounds and organizations working in high-stress environments. Alex holds a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution from Georgetown University, is a certified Paramedic, and is a Board Member and senior instructor with the Consortium for Humanitarian Service and Education where he trains future international and domestic disaster responders during multi-day field training events. He currently works for the Florida Department of Health as the Region 3 Special Needs Consultant. Register Here
