The pandemic exposed more than just our lack of readiness in the face of a massive public health crisis. It also laid bare the ever-widening disparity between affluent and working-class communities.

Closing the Resiliency Divide requires planning for the immediate as well as the long term – Covid-19 impacts will persist likely through 2022. And even then, pandemics like this may become more frequent, or Covid-19 itself may become endemic to society.

We need to think outside the fence as much as we do inside. And when inside, we need to assess for resiliency against events like Covid-19.
