HSS EM Solutions HICS Workshop is designed for hospital staff who will likely assume a role within the Hospital Incident Management Team. Our offering is held in-person and taught by ICS certified instructors with extensive (real-world) experience in the field of Healthcare Emergency Management. EM Solutions’ nationally recognized subject matter expertise in this field was tapped as a member of the HICS Primary Workgroup. This is a valuable opportunity to learn HICS from the experts that had a direct hand in its development.

The workshop focuses on the following learning objectives:

• Learn and apply the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) principle concepts, command structure, and Hospital Incident Management Team functions to incident scenarios
• Learn and apply the updated HICS resources to hospital incident scenarios, which include: documentation forms, job action sheets, and incident response/planning guides
• Hospital Incident Command System refresher
• Delivery of a tabletop exercise to allow attendees the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding with the HICS and updated resources
