FHCA’s Life Safety Seminar is an intensive, one-day seminar designed to help administrators, maintenance and operations staff crack the Life Safety Code, bringing greater success to the nursing center and ensuring a safe environment for residents.
Attendees will hear from Eddie Alday, Life Safety Code Lead for the Agency for Health Care Administration, and his experienced survey team to gain a better understanding of how to prepare their center for the Life Safety Survey. This six-hour training is geared toward administrators, maintenance and operations staff, who will receive a comprehensive review of changes to the Life Safey Survey process and a clarification of key code requirements. Discussions will focus on changes in the code, as well as resulting increases in inspections, testing and maintenance. Through real survey examples, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how the codes and standards apply to nursing centers.
